Equipment

There are three basic components to the game of tennis; they consist of the tennis racket, the tennis ball, and of course the tennis court:
A variety of rackets can be purchassed these days, all varying in lenght and weight but they are all basically the same thing. The tennis racket is usualy fabricated of light metal alloy body in a circular empty shape attached to a handle, the inside of the hole is filled with interlaced strings to create the bounce when you hit the ball.
Tennis balls are mainly composed of a spheric rubber surface convered in green velvet (other colors exist also.) The velvet allows a player to apply spin to the ball during gameplay and also gives the player better control of the ball.
The court has many lignes and zones such as the service and reception zones, the side lignes and a net that divides the court into to halves, one belonging to each player/team.
